Dubuque Wahlert graduate Cael Schmitt started four seasons at point guard for Coe College, helping the Kohawks reach back-to-back NCAA Division III national basketball tournaments. Success is nothing new for the Iowa City Liberty girls’ tennis team. Coach James Postman's team went 14-3 last year and 13-4 in 2022 with young rosters. The core players from those teams are now seniors and their experience is paying off.
