The Decorah-based Foot-Notes band and Vesterheim Museum are hosting a YouTube watch party on Tuesday of their recorded concert of music found in the notebooks of Norwegian immigrant musician Johan Arndt Mostad, who arrived in Iowa as an adult in 1869 and was a popular performer for local dances and house parties.

The lecture series brings together some of the most creative and inspiring Norwegian-American leaders, thinkers and artists working today. The exhibit celebrates the creativity and ingenuity of Norwegian immigrants and their descendants in America.

This free family event will take place outside on Vesterheim’s campus with the opportunity to view the gallery exhibit, “Innovators & Inventors,” inside the Main Building.
