Police say Iowa City man spotted nude at park

An Iowa City man was arrested for indecent exposure in an Iowa City park on Sunday.
According to an Iowa City Police Department criminal complaint, two witnesses saw a man — later identified as 53-year-old Gerald C. Meyer — laying 'completely naked' on a picnic table at Ryerson's Woods Park. The park is located south of Iowa City on South Riverside Drive and is maintained by the city.
Police said Meyer was touching himself while laying on the bench.
The witnesses described Meyer and the van he left in. They later identified Meyer through a photo lineup.
Indecent exposure is a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.
