Multitude of drugs found after Iowa City traffic stop

IOWA CITY - A traffic stop led to the discovery of an assortment of drugs in a Cedar Rapids man's vehicle early Tuesday morning.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, around 2:23 a.m. Tuesday, an officer pulled over 21-year-old Darian L. Gossett for going 88 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 218. Following the traffic stop, a police K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle, authorities said.
Police searched the vehicle and found roughly 350.5 grams of marijuana divided into 14 pages, 39 500 milligram containers of cannabis oil, 11 packages of marijuana edibles, 39.9 grams of marijuana wax, two prescription drugs in unmarked containers and 4.4 grams of suspected meth. Gossett also had two marijuana pipes, two grinders, a meth pipe and a large amount of cash, police said.
He was arrested and faces charges of controlled substance violation, two counts of Iowa drug tax stamp violation, unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
