IOWA CITY - An Iowa City woman is accused of letting others use a variety of drugs out of her residence while her son was present.
According to criminal complaints, on June 17, the Johnson County Drug Task Force served a warrant at 19 Amber Lane, the home of 40-year-old Tracy L. Mennenga. Police said during the search of the residence they found marijuana, LSD, MDMA and heroin.
They also found Mennenga's 7-year-old son, according to criminal complaints.
Police said the boy was found in the basement of the residence, near where a large portion of the drugs were found. Mennenga allegedly told police she knew drugs were being used in her home.
Mennenga has been arrested and faces charges of child endangerment and keeping a drug house, both aggravated misdemeanors.
