Iowa City man faces sex abuse charge

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man faces a sex abuse charge related to an incident alleged to have occurred last year.
According to Iowa City police, on June 20, 2018, 28-year-old Julian A. Ocegueda and a woman were having consensual sex. Police said the woman indicated she wanted to stop, but Ocegueda continued.
Authorities said the woman later recorded a conversation with Ocegueda in which he showed remorse for his actions.
Ocegueda has been arrested and faces one count of third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
