Iowa City man accused of having relationship with 14-year-old girl

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man is accused of having a physical relationship with an underage girl.

According to Coralville police criminal complaints, between November 2017 and March 2018, 26-year-old Eric D. Pennington was in a relationship with a 14-year-old girl. During the course of that relationship, authorities said Pennington touched the girl under her clothes and asked her to touch him. Pennington also sent the woman a photo of his genitals using Snapchat, police said.

Pennington has been arrested and faces charges of indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor; and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to a minor, a serious misdemeanor.
