Hiawatha man accused of kidnapping, sexual abuse, burglary

HIAWATHA - A Hiawatha man is accused of sexually abusing a girl in her home and holding her against her will.
According to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint, 19-year-old Taylor R. Bowles has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and first-degree sexual abuse. If convicted, Bowles could spend the rest of his life in prison.
The criminal complaint states that on Nov. 26, 2014, Bowles entered a Hiawatha home and sexually abused a girl in the home. Bowles did not let the girl leave her bedroom, picked her up and put her back on the bed, according to the complaint.
