MIDWAY - A Cedar Rapids woman was injured when the truck she was riding in crashed into a ditch.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, deputies, the Monroe Township Fire Department and Center Point Ambulance were called to the area of Midway and Saint Peters roads around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. First responders found a truck in the ditch that had hit a culvert.
The driver, 35-year-old Matthew Jarvis, of Center Point, was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was uninjured. Authorities said a passenger in the truck, 34-year-old Emily Brown, was not wearing her seat belt and was injured in the crash. She was taken to Mercy Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Jarvis faces one count of drunken driving, authorities said.
