Cedar Rapids traffic stop leads to drug charges

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man and a Coggon man face drug charges after a traffic stop Sunday morning.
According to Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow, officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Tyler W. Mason, 25, of Cedar Rapids. Police said 22-year-old Kristofer K. Miller was a passenger in the vehicle.
When officers searched Mason's vehicle, they found two bags of methamphetamine. Each bag weighed a gram, police said. Mason also had a one gram bag of marijuana on him.
Mason and Miller were both arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mason faces an additional count of possession of a controlled substance for the marijuana and was also wanted on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and fifth-degree theft.
