CORALVILLE - A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested, accused of taking part in the theft of a car from an underground parking garage.
Tyson D. Kidd, 43, and a female co-defendant not named in police reports entered an underground parking garage at 758 Fifth St. in Coralville at 1:38 a.m. April 23, according to Coralville police. Police said the pair discovered a car that had been left running.
The female co-defendant entered the car and left with it, police said. Kidd followed her out of the garage. The car later was found abandoned in Cedar Rapids.
Police said Kidd was identified by law enforcement who were familiar with him. He is charged with first-degree theft and second-degree burglary, both Class C felonies. If convicted of both charges, Kidd faces up to 20 years in prison.
