CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces an attempted murder charge in connection with a January shooting.
According to Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow, around noon on Tuesday, police and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Michael G. Hodges at 2801 Elaine Drive NW. Buelow said Hodges is suspected of shooting a 21-year-old man in front of Pub 217, 217 Third St. SE, around 2 a.m. on Jan. 28. Authorities said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper left chest.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, but Buelow said police do not believe the shooting was random.
