Cedar Rapids man arrested for sexual abuse
CEDAR RAPIDS - Jared Bell of Cedar Rapids was arrested Monday, accused of sexually abusing a woman at a southwest Cedar Rapids apartment on or about May 1.
Bell, 29, has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Bell forced himself on the woman and performed sexual acts while strangling her, pinning her arms behind her back and biting her.
