A Cedar Falls boy who fell out of the second story of his home has died.
The Saint Mary's campus of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. confirmed Monday morning that 3-year-old Carter James Mcomber had died. All other questions were referred to the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office, which said it could not comment while the death investigation was pending.
Cedar Falls police and fire officials and Sartori Hospital paramedics were called to 4820 Addision Drive at 8:10 a.m. Saturday. An investigation showed that Carter had fallen from an upstairs bedroom window to the ground below. He was initially taken to Sartori Hospital before he was air lifted to Saint Mary's.
