A bank in the northwest quadrant was robbed Wednesday morning.
Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said the branch of Guaranty Bank, 191 Jacolyn Dr. NW, was robbed around 10:10 a.m. The robbery marks the sixth in the city this year, Buelow said.
Buelow said a man armed with a gun entered the bank, demanded cash and got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported. The man was described as a white man wearing a white shirt, dark pants and tennis shoes.
This branch of Guaranty Bank was robbed in September 2012, October 2008 and March 2003. Another branch of the bank at 2711 Bever Ave. SE was robbed twice last month.
