20-year-old dies after shooting in northeast Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - A 20-year-old who was shot Nov. 25 in what police believe was a targeted attack died from his wounds Monday.
Cedar Rapids police said Levi Hunter Allen Holten of Cedar Rapids was found shot in an alley at 5:17 a.m. in the 1500 block between C Avenue and D Avenue NE. Holten was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital for treatment of what police said were serious injuries. Officials said he had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Public safety spokesman Greg Buelow said after the shooting that police believed there was no threat to the public at large.
The body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny for an autopsy.
Police said there continues to be an active, ongoing investigation into the shooting.
