Officials identify man killed by falling minivan near Springville

SPRINGVILLE - The man who died Monday after a minivan he was working on fell on him was identified Tuesday morning as Jerry D. Rabe, 56, of Blairstown.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, deputies, Linn County Rescue 57, the Marion Fire Department and Area Ambulance Service responded to a report of a vehicle that fell on a man in the 1100 block of Dubuque Road, just west of Springville, around 8 p.m. Monday.
First responders found the minivan Rabe was working had fallen on him. He was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital shortly after his arrival.
