Curt Ritchie forged a Hall of Fame high school football coaching career at English Valleys and Williamsburg. Cornell provided the right opportunity to coach college football. Ritchie is in his first year as Rams head coach.

Esteban Perez gives every ounce of effort whenever he takes the field. He has made a big impact as an everyday catcher for the Rams, leading them with his hustle, toughness and durability. He reached bases in all six plate appearances, scored four runs and drove in another in Cornell’s 19-8 route of rival Coe.

Cornell’s Elise Oleson doesn’t mind the pressure when she has the chance to help her team win. She connected on a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-1 victory over Coe in the opener of a softball doubleheader at home. Kohawks rebounded for a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

Coe and Cornell split softball doubleheader with Cornell taking the first game 4-1 and Coe winning the night cap 5-4.

Curt Ritchie has been a successful high school football coach for more than three decades, including the last 24 seasons at Williamsburg. He will now take over the Cornell College football program, which is coming off consecutive .500-record seasons.
