In a forum hosted Thursday by The Gazette, Cedar Rapids mayoral candidates see an opportunity for more affordable housing and a thriving riverfront

The hourlong forum begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The city council election is Nov. 2.

“Knowing where your money is going is absolutely crucial to the transparency that I think our government needs,” Hinson told her Cedar Rapids town hall audience.
