CEDAR RAPIDS — Mercy Medical Center has named Kathy Good as the first director of its Chris and Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging and Dementia.
The center is part of the 237-unit HallMar Village senior living community, set to open in 2023.
Good has been director of the Family Caregivers Center of Mercy since it was started in 2015.
Tim Charles, Mercy Medical president and CEO, said in a news release that Good “also has unique life experiences that she applies daily in helping others, after having cared for her late husband, Dave, who was diagnosed with the visual variant of Alzheimer’s at the age of 56.”
Good earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa.
