Iowa City man accused of forcing himself on woman

IOWA CITY, Iowa — An Iowa City man faces a decade in prison for allegedly trying to force himself upon a woman.
According to an Iowa City police criminal complaint, at 2:30 p.m. on May 8, 50-year-old Safaa Hussin was in the 1100 block of South Gilbert Court when he followed a woman to her car. Police said the woman told Hussin she had to leave and Hussin grabbed the woman's arm.
Police said Hussin pulled the woman toward him, ran his hands down her back and grabbed her backside. Hussin kissed the woman's neck and face, despite her pushing him away, police said.
The woman told police she does not know Hussin. He was arrested and faces one count of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, a Class C felony.
