'Better luck next time” was the phrase that sent Melanie Schweiss of Cedar Rapids into the Bonus Round Monday night on 'Wheel of Fortune.”
A Mount Mercy University graduate who works at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, she failed to solve the final puzzle, 'Focusing on my job,” but still walked away with an all-cash total of $33,000 on the popular NBC-TV game show.
Schweiss enjoys reading, jazzercising, trying new coffee shops, and seeing shows at Theatre Cedar Rapids, according to the game show. She has been tuning in to 'Wheel of Fortune” since she was little.
Last month, Josh Hillman of Cedar Rapids won $37,000 and a trip to Jamaica on the game show, and Steven Posey of Marion won $7,167 and a Panama Canal cruise.
