University of Iowa announced Wednesday that season tickets for the 2022-23 college wrestling season have been sold out. This marks the second straight year it has occurred.

Abe Assad did not compete last season. He was hampered by injury and Nelson Brands was the full-time starter. Assad is listed at 184 for the Hawkeyes’ opener against Princeton Friday. It would be his first home dual since Jan. 31, 2020.

Iowa heavyweight Tony Cassioppi and Myles Wilson will compete in the U23 World Championships Nov. 1-7 at Belgrade, Serbia. Cassioppi continues to transform his frame into a more sculpted and leaner look.
