Iowa wrestling sells out season tickets for second straight season

IOWA CITY - University of Iowa has led college wrestling programs in attendance since the 2006-07.
Hawkeyes fans have flocked to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for wrestling events at record-setting levels, especially during Tom Brands’ tenure as head coach. Expect more of the same for the upcoming college season.
Iowa announced Wednesday that wrestling season tickets have sold out for the second straight season. The Hawkeyes open the season at home Nov. 13 against Cal Baptist, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Iowa averaged a capacity crowd of 14,905 last season, setting a new NCAA attendance mark. Iowa went 14-1 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten, including a 5-1 record at CHA.
The Hawkeyes return six All-Americans - three-time NCAA champion, two-time World champion, two-time Hodge Trophy winner and AAU James E. Sullivan Award winner Spencer Lee, two-time world medalist Tony Cassioppi, 2022 197-pound NCAA finalist Jaocb Warner, Stanford transfer Real Woods, Max Murin and Abe Assad.
Iowa’s home schedule includes eight home duals. The Hawkeyes host Iowa State on Dec. 4 in the Cy-Hawk Series contest. Michigan highlights the home Big Ten Conference slate, coming to town Feb. 10. Iowa also hosts rival Oklahoma State on Feb. The other home duals are Penn (Nov. 26), Illinois (Jan. 6), Northwesterm (Jan. 13) and Nebraska (Jan. 20).

Iowa Wrestling: Carver Is Sold Out… AGAIN
IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa Athletics Department announced Wednesday that season tickets for the 2022-23 Hawkeye wrestling season are sold out for a second consecutive season.
Capacity for wrestling duals at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in 2022-23 is 14,905. The Hawkeyes have led the nation in attendance in every season since 2006-07, head coach Tom Brands’ first as head coach. Iowa set an NCAA record, averaging 14,905 fans in 2021-22.
The Hawkeyes return six past All-Americans on the 2022-23 roster, including three-time NCAA champion Spencer Lee, Real Woods, Max Murin, Abe Assad, Jacob Warner and Tony Cassioppi. Woods was a 2022 All-American at Stanford University.
Iowa wrestling events are broadcast on KXIC and streamed online at iHeart Radio and nine Hawkeye duals will be televised in 2022-23. The promotion schedule for the upcoming season is listed below.
