The Iowa high school state football playoffs continued Friday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls with semifinal games in Class A and Class 4A.

CLASS A SEMIFINALS
No. 2 Iowa City Regina 49, No. 3 Saint Ansgar 28
The Regals (10-1) handed the Saints (10-1) their first loss and advance to the state finals for the 12th time in school history. Ashton Cook completed 17 of 23 passes for 251 yards and a TD and scored three times on the ground. Theo Kolie rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns.

No. 1 Grundy Center 34, Council Bluffs St. Albert 6
Zach Opheim (223, 2) and Logan Knaack (200, 3) combined for 423 yards rushing and five touchdowns as top-ranked Grundy Center (11-0) booked its return to the state finals. The Spartans lost to West Hancock in last year's Class A title game and haven't lost since.
CLASS 4A SEMIFINALS
No. 1 Southeast Polk 50, No. 6 Pleasant Valley 10
Southeast Polk dominated all phases of the game as it improved to 10-0. Jaxon Dailey completed 11 of 17 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns and Titus Christiansen rushed for 176 yards and a pair of TDs. Isaiah Emanuel caught five passes, two of which went for scores, and totaled 144 yards receiving.
No. 3 Ankeny 31, No. 2 West Des Moines Dowling 24 (2OT)
West Des Moines Dowling's run of seven consecutive Class 4A state titles is over. Ankeny QB Jase Bauer scored on a 2-yard TD run in the second overtime, then Arland Bruce came up with an interception in the end zone to end it.
