Pedestrian seriously injured in collision with truck

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Cedar Rapids police said a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a pickup Tuesday morning.
Sgt. Mike Wallerstedt said the pedestrian - who has not yet been identified - got off a city bus at the intersection of Sixth Street and 76th Avenue SW around 8:20 a.m. The pedestrian was then hit by a Dodge Dakota traveling northbound on Sixth Street.
Wallerstedt said the pedestrian's injuries were serious. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
