HIAWATHA - Police said a Hiawatha woman and Chicago man conspired to steal three identities and use that information to apply for 30 credit cards.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, Hiawatha police investigators learned that 24-year-old Donisha Butler, of Hiawatha, and 22-year-old Donald Moore, of Chicago, used Social Security numbers and personal information from three victims to apply for or obtain 30 credit cards.
Police said Moore and Butler than used some of those cards to purchase items that were delivered to Butler's Hiawatha residence.
A search of the home turned up tax forms with the victims' information on them, as well as evidence showing the duo applied for credit cards using the victims' information.
Butler and Moore each face one count of ongoing criminal conduct and three counts of identity theft.
