Cedar Rapids man faces robbery charge

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man faces a robbery charge for an incident alleged to have occurred Wednesday.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, on Wednesday, 35-year-old Dennis McKinney went to the victim's Marion residence and demanded money. McKinney displayed what the victim thought was a handgun, police said.
When the victim refused to give him any money, McKinney fled the scene, police said. He was later arrested and police recovered a handgun, according to the complaint.
McKinney was arrested and faces one count of second-degree robbery, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
