Police: Central City man threatened to kill another man with shotgun

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Central City man is accused of chasing a man with a shotgun and threatening to kill him.
According to a Linn County Attorney's Office criminal complaint, on Monday, witnesses saw 26-year-old Samuel S. James chasing a man in the 1500 block of First Avenue SE. Witnesses said James was holding a shotgun and threatening to kill the man, according to police.
James initially gave police a false name when he was taken into custody. He faces charges of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and interference with official acts.
