Body found in Bremer County believed to be missing woman

HORTON - A body found earlier this week north of Horton is believed to be a missing woman.
According to the Bremer County Sheriff's Office, a body was found near a residence at 1477 120th St. by a local farmer who was harvesting corn. The sheriff's office responded and believe the body is 76-year-old Cloris Mehmen.
Mehmen went missing on July 5, and the body was found a half mile from her residence.
An autopsy has been scheduled to identify the body and determine the cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
