IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man admitted to selling meth out of his home, police said.
According to Johnson County Sheriff's Office criminal complaints, officers with the Johnson County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 2 Century Street, Iowa City - the home of 48-year-old Scott J. Hoff, Sr. - on Aug. 25. Police said when they searched the residence, they discovered baggies containing meth, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Hoff allegedly told officers he would 'get people high” at his home and also admitted to selling meth to someone at his residence the day before.
Hoff was arrested and faces charges of keeping a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. If convicted of all three offenses, Hoff could spend more than three years in prison.
