Iowa City Police Department adds two officers

IOWA CITY - Two new Iowa City Police officers were sworn in at city hall on Monday.
Doug Roling, 41, is a 2004 Iowa Law Enforcement Academy graduate and served with the Coralville Police Department for 10 years. In 2010, he graduated from Columbia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He is a certified bomb technician and Taser instructor.
Joshua Grimm, 30, is 2012 graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. He has an associate degree in law enforcement and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Before joining the Iowa City Police Department, Grimm was employed by the Nevada, Iowa, Police Department. He is a certified radar/lidar instructor and bicycle officer.
Both officers will participate in the department's field training program.
