OXFORD - More charges have been added to the growing list against an Oxford man accused of selling two pounds of marijuana to an undercover police officer.
Brandon M. Feijo, 22, was arrested on Monday after he allegedly sold two pounds to an undercover police officer that day. Investigators with the Johnson County Drug Task Force and the Iowa City Police Department's Street Crimes Action Team said they had made multiple controlled purchases of marijuana from Feijo in the last month. He initially faced two counts of controlled substance violation and one count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
Now, two more charges have been added in relation to a search warrant served in the investigation.
According to criminal complaints, six hours after Feijo was arrested for selling marijuana to the undercover officer, investigators served a search warrant at a residence in Coralville. During a search of the residence, police said they found 3.5 pounds of marijuana in heat sealed bags. Police said cash and two shotguns were found in the same general area. Feijo's father allegedly told police the shotgun belonged to his son.
Feijo now faces an additional count of controlled substance violation and one count of possession of a firearm as a felon. All of Feijo's charges are Class D felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.
