Suspect in custody after Cedar Rapids shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS - A shooting resulted in an arrest Thursday night.
Around 9:23 p.m., officers responded to the area of 15th Street and Bever Avenue SE for a report of shots fired. Police discovered one round had hit a black SUV. Three more shell casings were found in the area.
Based on witness information, 21-year-old Marcus Thomas was identified as a suspect in the shooting. Thomas was taken into custody at the scene and, after being questioned, was charged with intimidation with a weapon, carrying weapons, interference with official acts with a weapon and trafficking in stolen weapons.
