Cedar Rapids teen faces robbery, drug charges

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids teen faces a multitude of charges for a robbery and subsequent traffic stop.
According to the Linn County Attorney's Office, on March 3, 17-year-old Frank Wells robbed another man of cash, a firearm and other items. Police said Wells was armed with a handgun and threatened to kill the victim.
Police later found Wells in a vehicle. He had 19 doses of Alprazolam on him without a prescription, as well as marijuana, police said.
Wells was arrested and faces charges of first-degree robbery, drug tax stamp violation, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, carrying weapons and possession of a controlled substance.
