Police say Iowa City convenience store robbed at gunpoint

The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects in an early morning armed robbery.
Police responded to the Kum & Go at 955 Mormon Trek Blvd. at 3:31 a.m. Monday for a report of an armed robbery. The clerk told police that two people approached the store. One of the suspects acted as a lookout while the other pulled a gun on the clerk, police said.
The gunman demanded cash, jumped over the counter and took money out of the register while holding the clerk at gunpoint, police said. The clerk was not injured.
The armed suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'9' to 5'11' and 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan work boots and dark pants. His face was covered with a white mask, police said.
The lookout was described as a black male, approximately 5'9' to 5'11' and 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing dark-colored pants, dark-colored shoes with white soles, a dark-colored sweatshirt and a red mask, police said.
