Missing Waukon boy found

WAUKON, Iowa - A missing Waukon boy was safely located Monday after a multiagency search.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety announced shortly after 11 a.m. Monday that 9-year-old Lance K. Palmer did not make it to school Monday morning. He was last seen walking from his home along a gravel road to school. When he didn't show up at school, a search involving the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, the Iowa State Patrol and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was launched.
A second news release announcing the boy was found was issued at about 12:30 p.m. Monday. Palmer was found safe and unharmed, authorities said.
