WATERLOO - Two people wanted by Waterloo police for questioning in a homicide investigation are now in custody.
According to Black Hawk County Jail records, 43-year-old Anthony Tronca was arrested on charges related to the sale or manufacturing of a controlled substance and carrying weapons. His bond has been set at $200,000. No bond has been set for 29-year-old Jessica Ogden, who was booked into the jail for violating a no contact order. Both Tronca and Ogden were booked at the jail early Tuesday morning.
The Waterloo Police Department announced Monday they were searching for Tronca and Ogden so they could ask them some questions about the disappearance of 44-year-old Ronald Randall. Police have said Ogden and Tronca were friends with Randall.
The police department received a missing-person report for Randall around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Police said as part of their investigation, they searched a wooded area south of Waterloo and off Highway 218. There, they found a body believed to be Randall, police said. An official identification has not been made, but police said an autopsy performed by the State Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death to be homicide.
Police served a search warrant at AJT Auto Repair in Waterloo on Monday. Tronca is the owner of that business.
