Fire damages two Cedar Rapids homes

CEDAR RAPIDS - No one was injured in a house fire Sunday night.
Cedar Rapids firefighters responded to 5240 Harbet Ave. NW at 6:50 p.m. Sunday after receiving multiple reports of a fire at that location. Responding units encountered fire on the exterior of the one and a half story home.
Firefighters fought the fire from the inside and outside of the home and it was quickly brought under control. No cause has been determined at this time.
Three adults and four children live in the home, and al reportedly got out of the residence safely. No injuries were reported.
A second home at 5240 Harbet Ave. NW sustained fire damage to the outside of the residence. No one was home at the time of the fire.
