CORALVILLE - Police said a Tiffin man admitted to recording people in a department store bathroom on at least 50 occasions.
According to a Coralville police criminal complaint, on Monday a Scheels employee was using the upstairs restroom in the sporting goods store. While in one of the restroom's two stalls, the man noticed that the person in the stall next to him was using a cellphone to record or photograph him.
The person in the second stall was eventually identified as 24-year-old Jonathan E. Martin, of Tiffin. Police interviewed Martin on Wednesday and he admitted to photographing the victim on Monday and to committing the same act 'at least 50 other times,” according to the criminal complaint.
Martin has been arrested and faces one count of invasion of privacy, a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
