Three injured in crash off Interstate 380

CENTER POINT - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash off Interstate 380 Wednesday morning.
Linn County sheriff's deputies were called to the Interstate 380 off-ramp at Lewis Access Road for an crash causing injuries at 9:36 a.m. Deputies said a truck exiting the northbound lanes of 380 driven by 36-year-old Jessica Plasencia, of North Liberty, failed to yield to the right of way at Lewis Access Road and hit a van driven by 73-year-old Wanda Deemer, of Quasqueton.
Plasencia, Deemer and her passenger, Franklin Deemer, 71, of Quasqueton, were transported to area hospitals via ambulance. All of their injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
Plasencia was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and failure to yield to a right of way.
