Coralville woman accused of hitting man with car

CORALVILLE - A Coralville woman is accused of hitting a man with her car after he refused to move for her.
According to a Coralville police criminal complaint, around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, 44-year-old Nisha M. Huffer was attempting to pull into the parking lot at 727 20th Ave. Police said at that time the victim - who is not identified in the police report - was standing in her way and getting his mail.
Police said Huffer asked the man to move and he refused. A witness told police Huffer then accelerated at the man, hit him and drove with him on the car 'for a distance.” The man then fell off the car. He complained of back pain and was taken to the hospital via ambulance, police said.
Huffer has been arrested and faces one count of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
