Robbery at Iowa City McDonalds robbery under investigation

IOWA CITY - Iowa City police are investigating a robbery at a fast-food restaurant.
According to police, officers responded to McDonalds, 1861 Lower Muscatine Road, at 4:24 a.m. for a report of a robbery. The victim, an employee, reported being approached by a subject as they prepared to open the business. The suspect forced the employee to give him money from the business and then fled on foot.
The suspect was approximately 6 feet tall, 20-30 years old and was wearing a brown jacket and black stocking cap. Police said the employee was unsure if the suspect was armed.
