Cedar Rapids Fire Department raises $33,000 for MDA

CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids Fire Department has donated more than $33,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the city announced.
The fire department and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local #11 raised the funds through the 'Fill the Boot” campaign, now in its 31st year. IAFF Local #11 raised money for three months and over Labor Day weekend, firefighters and their families stationed at intersections throughout the city collected donations.
