Iowa City house fire under investigation

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City home was significantly damaged by fire Friday evening.
The Iowa City Fire Department responded to a building fire at 915 S. Seventh Ave. at 8:24 p.m. Friday. Responding units encountered smoking coming from the roof of the residence.
Firefighters found smoke throughout the house and a fire on the second floor of the home. The fire was brought under control within 22 minutes, according to the fire department.
No firefighters or residents were injured. A loss estimate is not available for the home, which sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
