NORTH LIBERTY - A North Liberty man is accused of intentionally hitting another man with a car.
North Liberty police were called to a Washington Avenue address just before 8 p.m. Aug. 29 for a disturbance. Responding officers learned that an argument had occurred between 36-year-old Gerald Seals and the victim. Police said during the incident, Seals yelled at the other man that he was going to kill him, drove his car through the yard and hit him. The other man suffered minor injuries after being hit by the car, police said.
Police said Seals admitted to driving toward the other man to scare him. He was arrested and faces one count of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in jail.
