Anonymous donor provides Cedar Rapids police K-9 with protective vest

CEDAR RAPIDS - An anonymous donor has provided a Cedar Rapids police K-9 with a protective vest.
According to the police department, K-9 officer Bane has been given a ballistic vest through the Massachusetts-based non-profit organization Vested Interest in K-9, Inc. The vest was sponsored by an anonymous donor, according to the police department. Bane is partnered with Cedar Rapids Police Officer Lucas Jones.
Each vest has a value between $1,795 and $2,234. They have a five-year warranty and an average weight of four to five pounds.
