Iowa City Animal Services looking for dog who bit citizen

IOWA CITY - Iowa City Animal Services is searching for a dog who bit a citizen this weekend.
According to a city news release, on March 26 around 9:20 a.m., the citizen approached a woman walking two dogs near the bus stop at Amhurst and Oberlin streets. One of the dogs bit the citizen.
The dogs were described as a black pit bull and a black and tannish/gray pit bull. The person walking the dogs was a woman with brown hair in a ponytail.
Iowa City Animal Services is trying to get information on the dogs' rabies vaccinations. Anyone with information on the dogs' owner is asked to call animal services at 356-5295, ext. 7 or the police department at 356-6800.
