Police say Cedar Rapids woman stabbed man

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids woman is accused of stabbing a man.
Cedar Rapids police said the assault happened around 3:40 a.m. Thursday at 1215 20th Ave. SE. Police said Athena V.M. Scheetz, 37, used a knife to stab the man in the side. The man required medical treatment, authorities said.
Scheetz is charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
