Police: Cedar Rapids man drove truck at ex-girlfriend, son

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids man is accused of driving his truck at his ex-girlfriend, another man and his 6-month-old child.
Witnesses said Travis J. Ziel, 27, drove his pickup off the road Monday in the 200 block of 16th Avenue SW and onto the sidewalk toward his ex-girlfriend and another man, according to the Linn County Attorney's Office. The two were walking with Ziel's 6-month-old son. Authorities said Ziel almost hit all three of them.
Ziel was arrested and faces charges of child endangerment and two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
